Ford Taurus

My birthday is May 15th.  This makes me a Taurus.  Now I know it's strange, but because my sign is the Taurus, from the time the first Ford Taurus came out I decided that I wanted to own one when I was old enough to drive and buy a car. Well, since I got my license 21 years ago, I've owned 3 of them.

The interesting thing is that when they first came out, I loved the name and wanted to drive one, but I wasn't impressed with the body style, but right before I was able to buy one a new body style was introduced for the Ford Taurus.  I loved the curves on the car, but I still didn't own it for very long.  I drove a Ford Explorer for a while because we felt we needed a bigger vehicle.  The second Taurus I drove had the same body style, but I still didn't own it for very long as we once again decided we needed an SUV.

Move ahead to 2010 and the lease on the vehicle I was driving was about to expire and I needed to decide on a new vehicle.  I'd imagined a car in my head for some time and started looking online for the specific car I wanted.  I was shocked when I saw the new 2010 Ford Taurus.  It was exactly what I'd imagined.  The body style and the interior were exactly what I wanted. 

I started talking to dealers and did more research on the exact Ford Taurus I wanted.  I was very specific.  I let the dealer know what I wanted and he went to work looking for it, but he couldn't find it.  I knew what I'd imagined though and what I wanted, so I waited.

Imagine my excitement when a few days later I receive a phone call from the man who was helping me and he had the wonderful news that he found the exact car I wanted and it was ready to go.  Not only did he find me the exact Ford Taurus I wanted, but I got it for the price I'd been imagining, even though I'd already been told it wasn't possible.

The power of visualization worked for me when it came to getting the exact car I wanted.  I know it can work for other things too.  All you have to do is BELIEVE!
